Cooking Classes at Casa Harmony in Rosarito Presented by Serena Senior Care
Dear Baja friends:
I don't know if you saw our ad and the article in the current Baja Times or not, but Serena Senior Care is presenting cooking lessons at Casa Harmony. The first lesson attendees will learn to prepare Chiles en Nogada. It is a gourmet delight. I know - I have had it and it is truly delicious. For those of you with delicate palates or tummies, this is not a spicy dish. The chiles are stuffed with finely ground beef and pork, chopped fruit and nuts, then topped with a delicious cream sauce and sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. We also learn how to make cream of poblano soup and arroz con leche. You can stay and eat with the class or take it home.
Cost is $10 to non Serena members and a mere $5 to Serena Full Assistance Card members.
Each class will be limited to 6 people. They are offered on these dates (all Thursdays): October 15, October 22, October 29 and November 5 - all start at 2 pm. A minimum of 4 reservations are needed for teach class.
I plan to take the October 15 class (space permitting - as staff I will give up my spot if needed).
You can pay via credit card or drop off cash or check at our office.
Reserve your space - call our Serena Senior Care office at 661 (612) 9090; e-mail: bajajoann@gmail.com. If the first lesson is successful, we plan to offer others.
