he Cemetery Club opened to rave reviews and standing ovations at the Olde Vic last weekend. "The best production by the Rosarito Theatre Guild ever!"; "Exceptional acting"; "Very professional"; "Could hold its own in San Diego theatres", are just a few of the comments heard. Kudos to John Bell whose directorial skills brilliantly brought out the very best in each of the actors.
The dates this weekend are Sat. Oct. 25 & Fri. Oct. 26 at 7:00 p.m. with Sunday Matinee at 1:00 p.m. at the Olde Vic Theatre (3 blocks west of Waldo's). Last night a few of us went to see the production of "The Cemetery Club" at the Olde Vic Theatre in Rosarito. This play has been billed as delightful and poignant...well, it was that and more. The three women that played the leads, Bev Gammon as Ida, Sylvia Dombrosky as Lucille, and Amy Chankin as Doris, were wonderful together and played off of each others emotions beautifully. The set was nicely laid out, well decorated and the set changes were well executed. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.
