Potluck Fundraiser at Plaza del Mar (The Pyramid)

Last Wednesday a fire destroyed the home of Maria Montiel & her husband Dr. Polo Cortez who live in our community. Maria and her husband operate the Helping Hands Food Bank out of their home here in La Misión, providing much needed food and other supplies to the poorest of the poor in our community. Dr. Polo often treats people for free and donates much of his services to the community. They’ve always lead a very humble existence helping others. Now they need our help since their lives have been devastated by a tragic fire. Next Tuesday there will be a community fundraiser to help start a building fund so they can rebuild and continue to serve the community as they have.
