Jews in Rosarito to hold high Holy Days Services
Baja Shalom, a two year old reform style Jewish congregation in Rosarito Beach, will hold Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Services here for the 2nd consecutive year.
Rosh Hashanah Services are September 18 in the evening and in the morning of the 19th, while Yom Kippur Services are September 27 in their evening and the morning and late afternoon on the 28th. Services will be held at two local restaurants following a community meal there, and at the clubhouse of on the member`s condominium overlooking the ocean. A huge break-the- fast party will celebrate the end of the holidays.
Baja Shalom is open to all, and there are no membership fees or dues! We want to give the people of Baja an opportunity to celebrate the most important Jewish Holidays together in a relaxed, non-threatening, "Hamish" way! All the services are short (one hour or so maximum) and sweet, mostly in English but with enough Hebrew for us to remember who we are, singing, dancing the Horah, with lots of participation from the entire group.
What better way to start the Jewish New Year then praying and celebrating with the entire Jewish community in a place as beautiful and awe-inspiring as Baja! Please join us; you will never go back to the way it has always been once you do!
