Theatre Appreciation Class in Rosarito
Are you interested in a theatre appreciation class?
Maggi Wagner is again offering this popular class through the Rosarito Theatre Guild.
The first class discusses the history of theatre in America , plus what components make a good or bad play (How to rate the set, writing, direction, acting, tech, etc.).
The class meets to eat and discuss the play they are on their way to see, the author, the theatre, things to watch for, etc. At the next meeting, they eat and discuss the play they saw plus, again, the play they're on their way to see.
The class consists of a variety of six plays over a period of 4-7 months, depending on what shows are currently available in the San Diego area. There are MANY theatres in this area and also many talented directors & actors.
Cost is a $25 donation to the Rosarito Theatre Guild, plus the cost of your meals and shows. We usually attend Sunday afternoon performances or Thursday evenings. We try to eat in reasonable restaurants or sometimes Maggi cooks a meal for the class for a minimal cost. Most of the shows are $20 or less.
